Tony M. McClamrock

Concord High School 1954-1958

  • Football Starting QB 1955-1957

  • 1957 Passed for 17 touchdowns and scored 43 points rushing and

receiving. Team Captain, Team MVP, All County and County MVP, All Conference.

  • 1958 NC East-West All-Star game starting QB

  • 1958-1962 attended Lenoir-Rhyne College. Football Tailback 4 years and Track 3 years

  • 1959 Won the Conference Championship, the Eastern NAIA Championship and played in the Holiday Bowl

  • 1960 Won the Conference Championship, the NAIA National Championship and played in the Camelia Bowl

  • 1961 Won the Conference Championship.  Lenoir-Rhyne’s record those 4 years was 39 Wins – 3 losses – 2 ties and 4 conference championships

  • 1962-1968 Graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne and began Coached Football, Basketball, Wrestling and Track & Field at Statesville High School

  • 2009 Inducted into the Lenior-Rhyne University Sports Hall of Fame

  • 2010-2023 Founder and Chairman of the Cabarrus County Sports Hall of Fame
