Played Shortstop for the Washington Senators of Major League Baseball.

Played in the Southern Association for Atlanta and Chattanooga.

Manager in the Washington Senators and Minnesota Twins organizations.

1957 Manager of the Charlotte Hornets Baseball Team which won the League Championship and was Named Manager of the Year twice.

Inducted into the Piedmont Historical Baseball Society Hall of Fame.
