Zeb Vance Shue

Central Cab. High School 1968-1972

  • Football 1969 – 1971 Starting QB and Punter. All-Conference QB

  • 1970 and 1971 Starting QB and Punter. All-County and All-Conference

  • Basketball 1969-1972 Starting Guard. Conference Champions 1970 and 1971. Best Defensive Player 1969, 1970 and 1971

  • 1970, 1971 and 1972 All-County and All-Conference. Team Captain and MVP 1971 and 1972

  • Track 1969-1972. All-County and All-Conference 1970, 1971 and 1972. Conference Champions 1969, 1970 and 1972. Best Track runner in the County and Conference 1971 and 1972. 

  • 1972 set the County Record 440-yard sprint of 50.1 seconds that lasted until 1989. Set the County Long Jump record of 21 feet and 6 inches. Ran the 220-yard dash in 22 seconds for a new County record and ran the mile relay in 3:31 seconds, another County record.

  • Baseball 1969 – 1971 3-year starter and All-Conference in 1970.

  • 1972 – 1976 Received a Football Scholarship to the University of South Carolina. 1972 played QB on the Freshman Team. 1973, 1974 and 1975 Starter at Outside LB/Strong Safety Lettering all 3 years.

  • 1976 Graduated from USC with a B.S. in Education. Post Graduate work at 

NC State University. 

  • 1983 – 2009 was a Teacher, Football and Track Coach for Concord City Schools and Cabarrus County Schools.
