Football 1952 QB for their “Undefeated” Team winning the Conference title

1953 WNCHSAA Runner-Up, Team MVP, Co-Captain and received the “Lug Leazer” and “Owen C. Hill” trophies.

1952-1953 Basketball Guard and Won the Conference Championship

1953-1954 Basketball team Won the Conference Championship and the WNCHSAA State Championship.

1953 Baseball Pitcher.  Won the Conference Championship and the WNCHSAA State Championship.  In the Championship game, Howard pitched a 5-hitter.

1954 Baseball Won the Conference Championship and the WNCHSAA State Championship.

Named All-State Baseball Team by the “Greensboro Daily News.”

Played for Kannapolis American Legion Post 115 Baseball team in 1952 and  was named to NC All-State Baseball Dream Team
