Robert A. "Bob" Boswell

A.L. Brown High School 1976-1988

  • Received AB Degree from Elon College in 1960 and ME Degree from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1963

  • Football Coach at Graham High School 1960-1967 and Won the 1965 NCHSAA State 3-A Championship

  • Football Coach at High Point Andrews High School 1968-1973 and Won the 1971 NCHSAA State 4-A Football Championship

  • 1973-1976 Assistant Football Coach under Lou Holtz at North Carolina State University.  1973 Liberty Bowl, 1974 Astro-Blue Bonnet Bowl, and 1975 Peach Bowl

  • 1976-1988 A.L. Brown High School Head Football Coach and Athletic Director

  • Football won two 3A Conference Championships and four 4A Conference

Championships, 183 All-Conference players, 14 Shrine Bowl players, 13 East-West players, 8 North-South players, 11 All-State players, 7 All-American players, and 67 full scholarship winners.

  • 9 Conference Championships, 15 State Playoff Teams & 2 State Championships

  • Coaching Honors include Regional National Coach of the Year 1972, Head

Coach East-West All-Star Game 1979, Assistant Coach Shrine Bowl, 1988; and Conference Coach of the Year 8 times.

  • Head Football Coach in South Carolina School System 1989-2000 an returned to NC as Assistant Coach for South Rowan Raiders 2000-2009
