Harry E. Mills

A. L. Brown High School 1957-1961

  • Football Player and Letterman 1959 and 1960

  • Baseball 1958-1961 Centerfielder and named All-Conference in 1960

  • Won the WNCHSAA State Championship 1960

  • Awarded the MVP award in 1961

  • Played American Legion Baseball (Post 115 Kannapolis) in 1960 and 1961 and won the American Legion State Championship 1961

  • Named to the All-State American Legion baseball team in 1960 and 1961

  • 1962 played Baseball at Wingate Junior College and named him to the All-Conference team and during the summer played with the Kannapolis semi-pro team and made the All-Star team while leading the conference in hitting

  • 1963 began playing Softball in Cabarrus County area and selected to the All-World and All-American teams 40 times.  Has been a member of World/National Championship teams in the Class A, Major and Super Major classifications

  • In 1996 Elected to the National Seniors Softball Hall of Fame.  

  • 2015 Elected into the NC Amateur Softball Association Sports Hall of Fame and in 2017 Elected into the NC USSSA Hall of Fame.
