Edwin "Eddie" Green

Joined the US Navy in 1943

In 1945 after the end of World War II, he returned to Kannapolis and worked at Cannon Mills to support his family

He began Boxing in the late 1940’s and became known as the “K-Town Flash.”

One of the best welterweight and middleweight boxers in North and South Carolina during the 1950’s

Won 4 AAU and Golden Glove Titles

1991 was inducted into the Carolinas Boxing Hall of Fame with a 56-6-1 record
