1965-1966 Named Cabarrus County Athlete of the Year

1966 selected to the East-West All Star Football Game

Basketball 3 Year Starter - All County and All Conference

Baseball 3 Year Starter - All County and All Conference

Track and Field 3 Year participant - All County and All Conference

1966-1970 Received a Full Football Scholarship to Lenoir-Rhyne University 

1968 and 1969 All Conference defensive Back – All American for 1969

1970 Graduated from L-R University with a Teaching Degree

Taught and Coached at Newton-Conover, Albemarle, Mt. Pleasant and J.M. Robinson until he retired.
