1951-1956 Received a Football Scholarship to Lenoir Rhyne University

Played on 4 Championship Teams. 

3 years – All-Conference 1952, 1955, 1956

2 years – All-American 1955 and 1956

Serviced in U. S. Army 1953 and 1954

Taught and coached at Mt. Pleasant High School – 10 years

Won 7 Football Conference Championships and 3 Girl’s Basketball Conference Championships

1964 Mt. Pleasant Football Team won the NCHSAA State 2-A Championship

1975 Earned a Master’s Degree

Coached and Taught at Central Cabarrus High School, A. L. Brown High School, Northwest Cabarrus High School and Harding High School over a 33 year period.
