Football All-County, All-Conference and Team MVP. Baseball All-County and All-Conference – 4 years

1942 entered U.S. Army in the European Theater of Operations (ETO). Played Football, Baseball and Softball.

1943-1944 played for the 47^th Infantry Division and was the top center and linebacker in their Region.

All-ETO Baseball Team and Softball Team

1945 Attended Catawba College where he played Football 3 years

1947 Athletic Director of the Concord Boys Club. 1957 Executive Director of the Concord Boys Club until his retirement.

1953 All-State Fast Pitch Softball and 1959 All-State Slow Pitch Softball

Active member of American Legion Post 51 where he was the Post Commander and Coached the Baseball team for several years

1976 NC State American Legion Hall of Fame
