Concord High School Head Football Coach 1980-2009

Winningest Football Coach in Cabarrus County History with 254 Wins.

43 Championships: 12 County, 9 Conference, 14 District, 6 Sectional and 2 Western Regional Championships.

Won the NC 3-A State Football Championships in 2004 and 2006.

15 Coach of the Year Awards

1990 East-West All Star Coach and 1997 NC-SC Shrine Bowl Coach.

2014 Concord High School Football Field named “E.Z. Smith Field”.

2016 Inducted into the NC Football Coaches Hall of Fame

2019 Inducted into the Concord High School Athletic Hall of Fame.
