• Football 3 Year Starter, All County and All Conference.  Team MVP 1940

• Basketball 3 Year Starter 3 Year Starter, All County and All Conference

• Baseball 3 Year Starter, All County and All Conference.  Team MVP & Captain

• Attended N.C. State University and played Baseball 1942-1943

• Served in the U.S. Army during World War II 

• Scholarship to Catawba College to play Baseball.

• After Graduation from Catawba College played 2 Years of Professional Baseball in the Boston Red Sox Organization.

• High School Teacher and Coach at Harrisburg High School for 33 Years.
