Michael Morton, Jr.

A.L. Brown High School 1985-1989

  • Football 3 Year Starter, All County and All Conference 1987 & 1988 and Team Captain and All State 1988.

  • 1989 NC State 3-A Football Championship and Team MVP.

  • Baseball 4 Year Starter, All Conference 1988 & 1989 and All State in 1989

  • 1989-1993 Received the “Morehead Scholarship” to UNC-CH

  • Played Football at UNC-CH 4 years and was All Conference 1992.

  • Graduated with a degree in Dentistry. 

  • 1995-1998 NFL Draft choice of the Oakland Raiders and played LB.

  • 1998-1999 played LB for the St. Louis Rams and Won Super Bowl XXXIV.

  • After retiring from the NFL he became a Football Official.  He officiated at the High School and College levels until be promoted to the NFL.

  • In 2025 he Officiated SUPER BOWL LIX becoming the First former NFL Player to play in a Super Bowl and Officiate one.
