Hansel Stanback

 A. L. Brown High School 1967 – 1970

  • Football and Track Letterman 3 Years

  • Football 3 Year Starter – All County, All-Conference 1967 - 1969 

  • 1969 All-State and Scored 22 touchdowns

  • 1969 NC/SC Shrine Bowl Player

  • 1970-1974 Received a Full Scholarship to University of Tennessee

  • 1971-1973 was a 3 Year Starter, All Conference and Conference Rushing Leader in 1972

  • 1973 Selected All-American and MVP in the Gator Bowl

  • Graduated with a degree in Transportation and Logistics 

  • 1974 Drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals where he excelled in kick-off and punt returns.  Traded to the Atlanta Falcons and played 6 years 

  • Board member of the following organizations: Total Action Against Poverty,

Chamber of Commerce Business Council, Diversity Council of NS and the

Transportation Museum

  • Retired from Norfolk Southern Corporation after 28 years
