Mt. Pleasant High School 

• 1951-1956 Received a Football Scholarship to Lenoir Rhyne University

• Played on 4 Championship Teams. 

• 3 years – All-Conference 1952, 1955, 1956

• 2 years – All-American 1955 and 1956

• Serviced in U. S. Army 1953 and 1954

• Taught and coached at Mt. Pleasant High School – 10 years

• Won 7 Football Conference Championships and 3 Girl’s Basketball Conference Championships

• 1964 Mt. Pleasant Football Team won the NCHSAA State 2-A Championship

• 1975 Earned a Master’s Degree

• Coached and Taught at Central Cabarrus High School, A. L. Brown High School, Northwest Cabarrus High School and Harding High School over a 33 year period.
