George "Ick" Alley

Concord High School 1945-1949

• Football, Basketball and Baseball 4 years

• Football - All-County, All-Conference, Team Captain and MVP Defense

• 1949-1950 University of South Carolina on a Football Scholarship

• 1950-1951 Lees McRae College on a Football Scholarship   

• Served in the U.S. Navy 4 years during the Korean War

• 1955 Pheiffer College and graduated with a B.S. Degree in Teaching

• 1957-1984 Teacher and Coach at Concord High School 

• 1963-1965 Head Football Coach at CHS. 

• Master’s Degree from N.C A&T University

• 2019 Inducted into the Concord High School Athletic Hall of Fame
